Support Your Cause

One thing that never goes out of style is generosity. Lucky for us, there are brands all over the world supporting charities and giving back to people in need! Whether this be by giving a portion of their profits to charities, employing people in poverty oversees or here at home, donating products to people in need, etc., they all have one thing in common and one of the most important things of all: giving back! As a certified serial shopper and a girl who is all over the place, it can be hard to remember to donate to the causes that are important to me in the chaos of life. Luckily, in the midst of all my shopping, there are brands that can allow me to get my spending fix in while still helping others. Two birds, right? Here's a list of some of my favorite brands that are also doing some good. All of the brands listed below help women in some way, from empowering women in poverty to helping victims of sexual/domestic violence, because that's the cause that's most important to me!

Purpose Jewelry

Purpose Jewelry is an accessories brand that provides employment for women rescued from sex trafficking. Along with jewelry making, Purpose Jewelry also provides counseling, education, and health care to these women via their non-profit, International Sanctuary. By purchasing, you are not only giving these women a job and a chance to start over, but essential health & mental care benefits that will allow them to succeed!

Peacekeeper Cause-Metics

Peacekeeper Cause-Metics has donated to many different causes ranging from women's rights to environmental organizations, and each is listed on their website as well as links to donate to their favorite foundations and organizations! Some of the most notable being Women Helping Women, Project Hope International, The Hunger Project, and The New York Women's Foundation. A proceed of all of their products go to charity, but some products give more money to specific causes as well. On top of all their charitable donations, they also pledge to keep their business free from slave labor, animal cruelty, and they support fair wages in their company as well as companies they work with overseas. Their most notable product, Yum balm, is a best seller and almost always sold out (and apparently delicious)!

SOKO

SOKO jewelry is one of my favorites, because everything is absolutely stunning all while being affordable. SOKO has become an innovator in supply chain management by connecting independent artists and jewelry makers in Africa and across the globe to some of the largest retailers in the world, such as Nordstrom. By creating a platform accessible by phone, they've cut out the middleman and increased the profits for the women creating these pieces. Givescent

Givescent gives $2.45 of each bottle of perfume sold to Women for Women International, which supports survivors of war as they rebuild their lives, and gives them the tools needed to succeed via financial aid, job training, education, and more.

Sudara

Sudara is a comfort based brand, giving women in India jobs to prevent sex trafficking. With safe and reliable employment, these women are able to escape or prevent a life in a brothel. Many women are trapped in this life either due to slavery or poverty, and the steady income provided by Sudara grants them the freedom and life they deserve.

Raven + Lily

Raven + Lily has almost become synonymous with charity when it comes to clothing companies. Employing over 1,500 women, they provide fair trade wages, education, healthcare, reliable income and more to marginalized women across the globe. You can also shop via country to know where your spending is empowering women!

From cancer research to environmental friendliness, there's a brand out there that supports what matters to you. Do some research! What causes are you passionate about?
